The Missouri City Juneteenth Celebration Foundation (MCJCF) is thankful for your support which has contributed to the longevity, success, and growth of  Missouri City Juneteenth Celebrations for over two decades. ​

MCJCF celebrations have attracted thousands of visitors, participants, and attendees to Missouri City to celebrate freedom and the Emancipation Proclamation, while bringing positive attention to our diverse city and recognizing the accomplishment and contributions of our outstanding neighbors. 

 

​The week-long celebration is filled with activities and attractions that are free to the public due to the generous support of companies and organizations that understand the importance of supporting the clients and customers in the communities they serve.

​

During the annual Community Service Awards Gala, we highlight the works of outstanding local citizens, and we award scholarships to deserving high school and college students. ​The MCJCF Scholarship Fund has enabled the Foundation to provide over $250,000 in financial support to bright, young, future leaders.

​

We are extremely proud of our scholarship recipients who have attended colleges throughout the country, including Vanderbilt University, Texas Southern University, the University of Texas, Texas A&M University, University of Missouri, Prairie View A&M University, Louisiana State University, Notre Dame, and the University of Houston.

​

​We must thank another valuable group of people that support MCJCF—our volunteers. We are profoundly grateful to the volunteers who so generously and graciously give their time and talents to make this organization better.

​The late Missouri City Councilmember Don Smith began the Missouri City Juneteenth Celebration in 2002, and with your support, the vision, tradition, and legacy have flourished.
